Heh, I remember when I was doing the color comps for the rendering that the atmospheric one gave me the most grief. I revised the hell out of it and never did get it right. That's why I just chose the complementary scheme for my render... why fight it? XD I think the reason why it's not totally effective on yours is probably mostly because you're using a warm green instead of a cool one so it doesn't want to stay in the back. Or at least it looks warm on this computer screen.
Couldnt get the atmospheric perspective the way... oh well cant win them all ^^
